It is a great honour for us to receive this special award along with the other 17 changemakers.
Panaji: The 5th edition of the Giving Economy Awards 2022 recognised and awarded 17 impactful changemakers representing the 17 sustainability goals at the ceremony held on Sunday.
The event was inaugurated by Chet Jainn the founder & CEO of Crowdera Foundation and the brain behind the Giving Economy Movement.
While introducing the Giving Economy vision, Chet said ‘Philanthropy has long been supporting many of these good causes, with significant impact around the world. Many of us are among the early embracers of the SDGs. With Giving Economy Festival we are excited to create a dedicated space for Sustainable Development along with economic growth and encourage more philanthropic engagement in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.”
The event received over 100+ nominations. These changemakers come from various backgrounds.
Along with the felicitation ceremony, the event had a talented group of panels discussing various sustainability and nonprofit revolutionising roadmaps.
The panel discussions were held on various topics including Financial Inclusion and Digital Transformation, state of sustainability for Indian charities in today’s time- compliance, global alignment, Sustainability, Circular Economy, and Climate Change.
Since its inception in 2018 Crowdera Foundation has successfully hosted GEC events every year to focus on innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship, bringing together the leading philanthropists, entrepreneurs, social innovators, activists, artists and NGOs to lead the transformative change toward SDG implementation and exchange ideas and develop solutions.
