Schools For Children
in the slums

Access to education and learning are nonexistent in any slums. There are estimated to be more than 18 million street children in India. Poor parents don’t have enough resources to send their children to the schools. The children often end up doing domestic chores or get into rag-picking and other anti-social activities.

El Shaddai needs to raise $42000 in the next 3 years. This project will allow children from these uniquely marginalized communities in Goa, India to stay off the streets and thrive in mainstream school environments.

Currently, the project program is run in 8 slums and it provides multi-grade teaching where students of different age groups and levels of learning are taught under one roof. The project will provide school supplies, fees and meals along with free health and medical care.
