MINA’S MARATHON CHALLENGE FOR EL SHADDAI, GOA

My love for children has been a major part of my life. I have worked as a Montessori teacher for 13 years. I have volunteered at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, London for 5 years. My love for El Shaddai grew as I visited the exceptional School and Childrens’ Homes for destitute, neglected and orphaned children in Goa. The Co-Founders, Matthew Kurian and Anita Edgar have set very high standards of education, care and love for the children.

My goal is to raise much needed funds for El Shaddai and be a small part in helping the beautiful children grow into confident, creative individuals who can have opportunities to excel and live with positive attitudes to succeed in life.

I have over the years faced physical challenges which include the UK National 3 Peaks Challenge. We climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scaffell Pike in the Lake District and Mount Snowdon in 24 hours. I trekked in the Himalayas in Nepal for 14 days and also finished the UK 3 Yorkshire Peaks in a day.

My next challenge is walking 26.2 miles (42.2 Km) in Dartmoor National Park, Devon, UK to raise money for El Shaddai Charitable Trust.
