Matthew Kurian
(Co-founder and Managing Trustee)

A Hotel Management graduate, Matthew came down to Goa from Kerala in the year 1993 with a mission to work for the drug addicts and alcoholics. Matthew started working at IPHB in Altinho, presently in Bambolim alongside Goa Medical College. Kripa Alcohol Centre which housed men, and a de-addiction center Mapusa which was under the Asilo Hospital to get people out of drugs. In 1997 he met Anita Edgar from Devon, UK and together they set up El Shaddai Charitable Trust.

Ben H Berson

Ben Berson works in the field of education. He received his Mechanical Engineering degree from Karunya, Coimbatore and began his career as a marine instructor. He attained an M Tech in Modelling and Simulation in 2002 from Pune university and an MPhil from the Mumbai University in 2013.

Throughout his teaching career spanning nearly three decades, he has served as senior Educator at various institutions including holding administrative posts such as Registrar and Principal and has worked with state and central government agencies in setting up educational infrastructure at multiple locations around the country.

He lives in Payyanur, Kerala where he heads the faculty of Sciences and Humanities at a premier training establishment. Ben also serves as a motivational speaker coaching and guiding students to find purpose and meaning in life.

Sobha Viswanath

Sobha Viswanath is a well-renowned artist and MBA graduate, with expertise in the fields of designing, styling and acting. She is a TV host in one of India’s largest broadcasting organisations – Doordarshan.

At a very young age, she was involved in social activities making her voice heard. She spearheaded Pinkathon in Kerala and initiated a barefoot run in sarees. She is a social activist and entrepreneur with a vision to transform the lives of people living in the fringes of society.

She is a proud member of PETA and PFA; co-founder of SARSAS (Save a rupee spread a smile charitable society) and Anbodu Trivandrum.

She is currently the curator of Bhoomika Charitable Trust and Weavers Village.

Robert D’Roza

Robert D’Roza is the Founder and President of Hope Ministries in Bengaluru, India. He is also the Senior Pastor of Hope Chapel and is a full-time Family Counsellor and Conference Speaker.

He is actively involved in the counselling of troubled marriages, troubled children and works towards the strengthening of the family. He promotes and supports underprivileged children in the areas of Education and Nutrition.

He lives in Bengaluru, India, together with his family.

Thomas Jacob
(Legal Consultant)

Thomas T. Jacob is a lawyer and specialises in drafting and conveyance of Deeds, Agreements and Contracts. He has exposure in the Original, Appellate and Writ Jurisdiction of the High Court of Chennai and has extensive experience in the area of civil litigation and criminal cases in and around courts of Chennai.

He renders his services in the capacity of the panel of Lawyers recognised by American and Australian Embassies, Chennai and in the governing board of different institutions.

Ravi naik (EntrepreneuR)

Ravi’s journey with El Shaddai Charitable Trust began as its first rescued child, a transformative experience that shaped his life. Growing up with the care and support of the Trust, he received education, shelter, food, and clothing, which paved the way for his future. He currently works as the head of operations at Vescapes.com.

Now a trustee, Ravi is deeply committed to helping underprivileged children find their path to a brighter future, just as he did. His dedication goes beyond children; he actively participates in environmental activities like tree planting and beach clean-ups, and he is passionate about mental health awareness, offering support to those in need. He also advocates for human rights, joining campaigns and organizations that strive to uplift individuals worldwide. His life’s mission is to make a positive difference, using his skills and experiences to give back to the community that gave him so much.
