GOVERNORS OFFICIAL VISIT TO EL SHADDAI

 

El Shaddai Charitable Trust working with abandoned street children and those from economically poor or broken families in Goa and other parts of India committed to establishing support systems and first line refuge for the weaker sections. On the occasion of PM Modi’s 71st Birthday celebration Governor of Goa, Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai announced financial assistance to the orphanages of Goa. On 26th Oct 2021, His Excellency Governor of Goa   visited our Organization, El Shaddai Charitable Trust. His Excellency Governor of Goa  and the Honourable MLAs Shri Jayesh Salgaonkar, Shri Joshua D’Souza, Shri Vinod Palyenkar, Sarpanch of Assagao, Mrs. Riya Naik, Co-founder of El Shaddai Ps. Matthew Kurian along with the Orthodox Priest Rev. Sheejo M. Abraham and Marthomite Priest Rev. Varughese Philipose, Managing Director of Thunder Force Ltd. Goa, Mr. Anil Kumar B. Nair graced the occasion by lighting the lamp. A host of dignitaries were present for the occasion.

The programme began with the welcome address followed by welcoming all the distinguished dignitaries. The programme started at 5:00 p.m. with a welcome dance and the song performed by the children of El Shaddai. The Governor of Goa addressed the program, his address was unique because of his unique ideas and His excellency then presented the cheque providing the financial assistance to the children of El Shaddai and the Dialysis patients and this is the first time in the History of Goa that the Governor of Goa has taken the initiative to provide assistance to the charitable Institutions all over Goa and also to the patients who are suffering from kidney ailments. His Excellency also gifted goody bags to hundred children of El Shaddai. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Mallamama Natekar, child of El Shaddai Charitable Trust.

On the occasion of Diwali, children from various orphanages in Goa were invited to the Raj Bhavan and given sweets.
In the short ceremony, children sang patriotic hymns. After touring the Raj Bhavan children happily returned. A beautiful hand-drawn picture by one of the El Shaddai Child was gifted to his excellency.
