WHO WE ARE

El Shaddai Sports & Cultural Club (ESSCC) has started like an academy of football established in Assagao, Mapusa in the Goa state, Índia. We are part of El Shaddai ChildRescue.

What is El Shaddai ChildRescue:

ChildRescue is run by a group of individuals fired with a zeal for ensuring equal opportunities for all children, regardless of race, caste, religion, community or economic status. Based in Goa, India, ChildRescue has been working in various states in India, striving to implement the Child Rights Act 2003/05 for orphans, street children and children coming from economically desperate conditions.

ChildRescue cares for and provides food, clothing, shelter and education for children from under-privileged sections on Indian society. Children who would otherwise not have an opportunity at developing their inherent potential.

ChildRescue provides residential Homes, Day Care & Night Shelters and Cottages for children, from babies to those attending senior colleges, technical institutions and professional training centers. In addition, we have a free food distribution program in Goa called ‘Manna, Meals on Wheels’ and a Children’s Cottage Hospital for terminally ill children (children with cancer, HIV/AIDS etc.). We also run outreach projects in Mumbai, Nagpur, Chennai, Karnataka & Kerala.

ChildRescue is a registered, non-profit Charity under the name El Shaddai Charitable Trust.

The 10th Edition of the Goa Marathon was organised by the El Shaddai Charitable trust in association with Goa Athletic Association, this year, with the motive “Home for Homeless, hope for hopeless,” a motto to raise funds for the underprivileged children on the streets, in slums and those who are in need of dire care.
The Run flagged off at 6:00 am from Goa University ground and moved towards GMC and then to Miramar circle and back. The other runs followed were 10 km, a school run for Under-14 and Under-16 boys and girls and a 5 km run in various categories. Participants from various parts of the country and other countries participated in the marathon.
