Guru

Guru currently lives in Victory House. He has been with us since June 2016. His parents hail from the state of Goa. Guru is the only son in his family. His father abandoned the family 7 years ago leaving Guru and his mother homeless. Guru’s mother is working as a housemaid to earn and support her son and herself. But the income she earns is insufficient to meet all the daily expenses. Besides this she is unable to look after her son while she’s away working. So to avoid further adversities she came to us for help and requested us to admit Guru into our Children’s Home. Guru was quickly admitted into our Children’s Home where he was offered comfort, companionship, nourishing food, education and the possibility of a secure future.

Guru is very happy and is enjoying his stay with us. He speaks Konkani and will soon learn to speak English too. He now attends our Shanti Niketan (Non Formal School) and likes going to School. During leisure Guru enjoys playing different games with his friends. He loves to play football and watch TV. When asked about his ambition he says he wants to become a pilot. Guru needs love and care. If he is given any additional help or assistance of any type, he can fulfil his dream and grow and develop as a normal child.

All donations to El Shaddai Charitable Trust are eligible for 50% tax exemption under the Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
