Dav currently lives in Shekinah House. He has been with us since June 2012. He hails from Karnataka but was brought to Goa by his father. Dav’s mother left the family after her husband met with an accident that left him bed-ridden. It was a tragic accident that completely devastated their lives. He is now recovering and walks with the help of crutches but unable to look after his young children and earn a living. He left his home town and came to Goa with his three young children. Being a single parent to such young children was tough and to add to that his own handicap made it tougher. He heard about our organization through a friend and came to us begging us to take in his three small children. Dav and his brothers were welcomed into a loving home which offered them comfort, companionship, nourishing food, education and the possibility of a secure future.
Dav now feels safe and happy. He is an active and playful child who enjoys playing different games with his new friends in the Shekinah House. Dav is intelligent and shows interest in learning. Dav is currently enjoying his new surrounds and has been admitted in our Shanti Niketan School. When enquired about his future ambition Dav says that he would want to join the military. He needs continuous love and care. This can be achieved through sponsorship and guidance which will help him achieve his goals to grow and develop as a normal child.
