RAINBOW HOUSE, ASSAGAO.
The month of September started with fun-filled activities and programmes planned during the Ganesh vacations. Competitions on Memory test, Mehandi, drawing etc were conducted, and these activities incredibly brought out amazing creative talents treasured in their young minds. (more…)
The ‘Friendship day’ was celebrated through exchange of friendship bands and programmes while on the occasion of the ‘Independence Day’ the children performed a choreographed programme during the youth service. The formal school girls went to their respective schools, for the flag hoisting ceremony on the 15th of August.
Almost all the children have been engaged with their studies this month. The joy that success brings is also an incentive for others to excel. Our staff is monitoring their progress regularly.

The word ‘RAINBOW’, inspires beauty and joy. It reminds us of the promise made for all generations. The girls of Rainbow House believe it is “God smiling”. The House has settled into a rhythm and we hope all would be well in the coming months. (more…)
The Rainbow House commenced the year with 7 new children faces and unwrapped itself for the new academic year. The girls who spent their summer vacation at the House of Kathleen have moved back. (more…)
April has been a good month for the girls at Rainbow House. Holidays, evening walks, summer vacation, corrective surgery, excellent results in examinations, a day out for staff, board examinations and plenty of other activities have all added to the enjoyment of this month. (more…)
March was a mixed month. We had examinations, holidays, picnic, Easter celebrations, parties and a couple of goodbyes. The youth service at church is attended to by almost all the girls as it gives them their kind of music and messages that are close to their heart. Maintenance work has been completed at the Home. February was a sort of cool month. The weather was really a surprise. It was very cold and the general opinion was that this was the coldest year in a long time. It was also a month where the House received many many visitors, sponsors and well wishers. So many of them have been a blessing to us, teaching the children craft and art work. Many also donated towards the needs of the Home and we thank them. (more…)
The month and year began with a circus show at Mapusa. All our girls and staff went to witness the various acts in the Golden Circus. They were specially amazed at the girl who did the trick with countless rings around her body. Jim and Elaine sponsored the show and the children thanked them for a lovely time. (more…)
December is always a month when there is too much to do and too little time. It was no different this year either. There were loads of activities and there never seems to be enough time to do it all. The first half of the month was spent in making cards for sponsors, well wishers and friends. Later came school activities. The beach outings and church activities continued with children taking active part. Then all of a sudden Christmas was here. December as a very busy month has lived up to its reputation. (more…)
