The students of Shanti Niketan organized a programme on ‘Teachers Day’ to show their appreciation for all the effort they make towards teaching the children. The Programme of various dances, songs, skits etc. The teachers had loads of surprises by the students. Two teachers were given mementoes presented by Master Nagappa (62) and Master Dickya (288) for the best write –up, on their respective Favourite Teacher. The entire show was compered by Master Nagappa ( 62 ) and Priya ( 364 ).
A ‘ Class Day ‘ for Nursery and KG classes was held at the school. Students performed solo dances, action songs, solo acting and a group play. The KG class students presented a poem on good manners, while the young artists enacted plays showing how community helpers were useful to the society. The lower class students from the nursery to grade II were present along with their class teachers and the school office staff. The entire event was enjoyed by one and all.
An inter-house competition on reading , Maths Quiz, Class Day, Gift shop, Story telling was organized in the respective classes of Grade I to Grade VII. The students had a contest on Memory Verse Recitation. These verses were given to memorise, every Friday. Three students Ashok, Sudha and Vinod from Grade V, recited all the 47 scripture versus from the bible.
A Table Tennis tournament was conducted for the junior and senior boys. In the senior category, Saturn house were the winner followed by Jupiter house and Mars house and were placed 2nd and 3rd place respectively. In the junior group, Mars house was the winner followed by Neptune and Saturn and were placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.
