THE TOURIST SEASON HAS SET IN AND VISITORS AND SPONSORS HAVE STARTED COMING TO THE HOMES AND SHELTERS.
ROUND - UP
Rains are receeding in the month of September, and the Sun shines more frequently while the days are cool. It is a mixed bag on weather; but despite this the children had a great month, in high spirits. The children were engaged in a lot of creative activities and competitions and also the holidays too added to the excitement.
The month began with the Ganesh Vacations and most of the children went home for the holiday. The Shelters and Homes too had lots of activities for the children, including Drawing, Coloring, Games, Skit, Dance, Singing, Craft, Rangoli and Mehandi etc. The Shelters were engaged with the children and the fieldworkers gradually expanded the areas of fieldwork and found many more children to reach out, needing assistance and love.
‘Teachers Day’ was celebrated with great enthusiasm with co-ordinated programmes on various cultural dances, songs, skits and loads of surprises for teachers. Events such as inter-house
A workshop on Mentoring and Coaching for Children, was organized for all the Managers and Staff. Children’s Park at Shekinah House, donated generously by Sharon and Tony Freeman was inaugurated.
The Tourist season has set in and visitors and sponsors have started coming to the Homes and Shelters. Pastor Matthew returned from a fruitful overseas journey, to gather additional support for El Shaddai.
All the staff and the children are now looking forward to the Sahibrious month of October
