The month of July was an eventful month. We started the month with a Prayer for protection, on our children. The new admissions have helped Children experience childhood, the way they should.
We had various competitions at home like creative arts drawing and carom and the boys enjoyed the monsoon season with the popular marble games. The strength of the staff has increased with the induction of Ramesh, Basavraj, Manohar, Dharmesh. At present there are 50 children with the Shekinah House.
The ground near the Shekinah House has been cleared and is well laid out. Mock fire drills were conducted for safety; some of the boys went through a totally new experience. We also celebrated the birthdays of 6 children during the month.
On the health front, apart from the Mumps, sore-eyes and the occasional fever during the monsoon season we did not have any major health issues. The boys were also counselled on health, hygiene and sanitation by the staff.
The month of August is going to be a hectic with School as well as play. Some of the boys will be answering their unit tests whereas others will be taking part in different sports activities. We wish all of them the very best.
