Round up of April
Tuesday, May 6th, 2008April was hot and humid and we also had a couple of days of rain which only made the humidity unbearable. Despite the weather we have had ourselves a great month. The children have answered their exams and the results have come in. Our children have done extremely well. (more…)
Visits to the park and beach, plenty of visitor and some generous donations have made April a memorable month at Stepping Stones
Tuesday, May 6th, 2008April began with a lot of children attending the Shelter and there was lot of activity and laughter. However by the end of April many of the children had left Goa for their native villages as the tourist season comes to a close and also the monsoon and cultivation season is in the offing. (more…)

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008Many of the children have gone to their native villages for the summer vacation and so we have experienced a drop in number of children attending. This month we were able to care and assist nearly 900. The fieldwork however has continued in full swing. Slum dwellers are being made aware of the menace of malaria as the monsoons will soon be here. (more…)
Excellence in sports and study mark the month of April at Victory House
Tuesday, May 6th, 2008April was a relaxed month at Victory House. The exams were finished and done with and the boys were enjoying their summer vacation. The boys from Shekinah House and the cottages too joined up at the VH and so it felt like a big, happy and comfortable family. (more…)
The school closed for summer break in April. The teachers will prepare syllabus for the coming year and go on a well deserved break too
Tuesday, May 6th, 2008April signifies the end of an academic year as well as the beginning of the preparations of another. The first week of April was a very hectic one for one solid reason. The summer vacations were around the bend and children were excited about going home for vacations. The teachers and staff were busy with the corrections of papers and the yearly reviews. Progress report cards had to be prepared and submitted too. (more…)
Our girls have returned with excellent results. All our girls attending formal school have passed and gone to the next level
Tuesday, May 6th, 2008April has been a good month for the girls at Rainbow House. Holidays, evening walks, summer vacation, corrective surgery, excellent results in examinations, a day out for staff, board examinations and plenty of other activities have all added to the enjoyment of this month. Asha Deep celebrated five years in the service of the underprivileged and street children this month of April
Tuesday, May 6th, 2008We had expected the number of children attending the Shelter to fall down as every year most of them go to their own homes during the summer months. Nearly all the children live out of Goa and so this month on an average only about 25 children attended. The good news is the fieldwork has been so effective that more and more fresh faces are seen at the Shelter. (more…)
