The small ones have a great month with outings, picnic and party
February has been thoroughly enjoyed by the tiny tots. Everyday has been special. So many visitors have come to our Home to see these children and children have been great with them. The good manners and behaviour has been commented upon by almost every visitor. Health has been pretty good apart from the few visits to medical centers basically for vision checks.
Children had a great month with more than the usual number of activities. Every beach outing is enjoyed, specially the fruit. They only visit the river end at Baga as the other location is not very safe for small children. Our children who are in Nursery had a great day at Campal children’s park. It was part of the nature trip that the school organized. They played on swings and slides, ran around the entire park and even went boating in the paddle boats. They were ready to drop to sleep when they finally arrived Home. Some of our children also went on the tour of Faber Castell and Funskool factories at Corlim in Old Goa. They just could not wait to tell their friends about the stationery and toys assembly. The staff too had a lot of outdoor activity this month. Saileja regularly went to stores to set everything in order, Sureka has been to the health centers with the children and Lucracia too. Lucracia also attended a child related workshop called, ‘The child in God’s Eyes’ It was by Pastor Frank Carmical (USA) in association with Awana International and VIVA
The highlight of the month was a fantastic picnic sponsored by Paul & Margaret Throssell. They sponsor Dev & Vishesh, two of our children. They took all the children on a wonderful picnic to Anjuna beach on 16th. They were at the beach at
The coming month too promises to be full of activity. SNS has planned a picnic for students. Easter is approaching and so also the summer vacations. The children are having a great time just being children and it is so heartening to see them building fond memories of childhood…a childhood they would not have had if not for El Shaddai Charitable Trust.
