After the summer vacation the children joined the kindergarten on 7th June 2010. It was nice to see the children get back to school. It was a sight to behold the children neatly adorned in their uniforms.

During the month of June we had a regular attendance of 80 children during the morning session. In addition we have 30 children on the waiting list. Decision will be taken by the end of July. In the afternoons about 50 primary school going children regularly come for tuitions.

On 11th June, we had a general meeting with the parents of the kindergarten children. It was to brief them about the regulations of the Centre and also the academic year.
On 23rd July, the Primary Health Centre of Betki and Chimbel held a medical camp at the centre. 60 people attended it. The people were made aware about the importance of maintaining hygiene and surroundings clean. Also they were told about precautionary measures to be taken to prevent sickness, especially during this rainy season. Multi-vitamin syrup was distributed to the parents for their children. They were also given liquid called “ABATEDONE” to be sprayed in the drains and around their homes to prevent mosquito breeding.

We also undertook cleaning of the surroundings to avoid water logging during the monsoons. This was taken as a precautionary measure to prevent water-borne diseases.
